Brenda sleeps pleasantly, but the clock starts ringing and with blurred vision tries to snooze since 4am until 7 am. Finally, she jumps out of bed to confront life as the COO of her company. When she arrives to her office starts sending emails to her collaborators with a long list of tasks to perform, but suddenly the information system starts failing. Some workers are trying to manage the stress of creating their files for the fourth time, because they disappear from their computers. She has called the IT company twice and received the message that was impossible to recover their data. Then her assistant gives her some bills and finds out the high operating costs in IT services for more than $20000 per month.

Brenda looks around and sees her frustrated coworkers rolling their eyes, hitting their heads on the keyboards and looking restless, they were overloaded. She decided was time to call his best friend Tom, another COO of a big company in NY. When he answered Brenda exclaimed “I am so frustrated with our IT supplier, it never solves our problems and even less prevents them. I bursting into anger.” Tom heard her with patience and understood that he had the perfect gift for her. The next day Brenda received a beautiful package. She opened it and there was a book called “The most important Secrets to getting great results from IT.”

When she received that emergency present Brenda new her friend was telling her that she had to learn more about IT and read it without a doubt. She loved how the book explained complex problems in a simple way. She kept researching, reading articles and Youtube videos of Raj Goel, the author of the book. Brenda learned about SOPs and how to increase staff productivity. Another IT friend also recommend her to go to Raj´s monthly conference.  After that conference Brenda understood that Mr. Goel was trying to explain that the largest assets for a company were their employees and their business information system.

Months later she was visited by the CEO who  informed her that the directors board noticed a little improvement with the company performance, but it wasn´t enough. He said that if she couldn´t solved it they will need to let her go. Desperately, Brenda called the IT company and demanded a solution. They convinced her to buy a very expensive software that should solve everything for her company. Two years later the errors where still occurring and her workers weren´t trained well to use the high-priced piece of software. To top that Brenda was briefed that the software´s guarantee has expired and if they needed support they will need to pay another pricey fee.

Brenda was on a dark moment, almost crying took a look around her office and saw the book that her friend Tom has given her years before. She remembered the excellent tactical advices and decided to call BrainLink, the company the author founded.
