On Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the New York County Lawyers’ Association Continuing Legal Education Conference, Information Technology Security expert and author, Raj Goel, will present “How to Balance E-Discovery Requirements and Cloud Computing Challenges with Ethical Compliance.”

The conference will be held at the NYCLA (www.nycla.org) in New York, New York with panelists including Natalie Sulimani, the Chair of NYCLA CyberLaw committee from the Law Offices of Sulimani Law, Devika Kewalramani from Moses & Singer, and Adam Wright Strayer from CDS Legal.

Goel’s presentation will focus on how cloud computing is becoming more common both in the business world and the legal profession. Goel will discuss a new set of ethical dilemmas that come along with this method of delivery of computing and storage capacity, including issues of protecting privacy, trademarks and trade secrets, issues involving the sharing of data and compliance, ethical issues regarding storage, security concerns, and many others. There will be real world examples of these ethical concerns of cloud computing. Goel will provide guidance about adopting the best practices for this new technology.
