This part of the site just keeps growing. If you have any site you think belongs here, don't hesitate to drop me a line!

Internet Screenwriter's Network offers many links, columns, etc. both useful and fun.
TNT's Rough Cut Screenplay Challenge is only good until the end of 1999, but certainly worth a look...
Screenwriter's Oasis offers some advice and stories, as well as various services (some free) from some who've actually worked on different projects.

Screenwriter's Homepage includes a message board, news, general information, and of course more links.
JMS On Writing is an archive of messages and comments by J. Michael Straczynski, creator of Babylon Five (he wrote three entire seasons of this successful series).

Sleepy Hollow is the latest (soon-to-be-released) motion picture from Tim Burton. Starring Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci (how's that for a goth dream couple?), it was written by the same pen that gave us Seven(shudder). Of course I haven't seen it yet, but the promos look GREAT!
The Films of Jean Rollin tells about a cult director of atmospheric fantasy movies in France. A very personal voice.
The Blair Witch Project is a marvelous Cinderella story for independent filmmakers. Made for the cost of a new car, this movie uses its disadvantags to great effect. What resulted was not only a wonderfully terrifying experience, but a huge popular success.
Lord of the Rings shows exactly how far special effects have come. Until recent CGI developments, adapting this famous trilogy was simply too daunting a task for anyone. Now, its in preproduction in New Zealand and will star Ian McKellan as the wizard Gandalf.

Alan Rickman is an extremely fine English actor. I first saw him in the Broadway production of Les Liasons Dangereuses. Like many fine English actors he's also played a bunch of interesting villians (Die Hard and Robin Hood and the Temple of Politically Correct Doom come to mind) in Hollywood. But he's done far more than that, including Sense and Sensibility and An Awfully Big Adventure (strangely listed as a comedy in most video stores).
The Dennis Potter Homepage. One of my heroes, this extremely fine writer died a little while back. He spent his last days writing two television dramas that echo with great power when you take that into account. I hardily recommend this man and his works.
The Stephen R. Donaldson Homepage. Another of my writer-heroes, albeit in this case a novelist not a screenwriter. Be warned if you're not familiar with his work--these books are not for the dainty or sweet. One theme in his work is how all human beings everywhere have the potential for atrocity as well as sainthood, and the journey from one to the other.
In the Presence (Still) of Rod Serling is an article that reminds us of just how effective a writer was the late Rod Serling. At his best this American author revealed Truth in lean yet powerful drama, wielding the stuff of horror, science fiction, politics and melodrama into fables that stay with us today. Even with a wall full of awards, his was an underrated treasure.
Mia Kirshner is probably best known for Exotica and for The Crow: City of Angels. Personally, though, I look forward to her future performances. I noticed her in the silly Dracula: The Series in which she made me actually care about her character amid what was essentially melodramatic cartoon stories.

Encyclopedia Mythica may seem odd to be here, but I'm one of those who thinks mythology a rich and wonderful resource for any writer.
News Magazine Directory of literally dozens and dozens of online magazines, sorted by subject (remember--research is the writer's friend).
Ain't It Cool News is a slow site, but full of interesting news, reviews, etc.

Bert is Evil! proves you only think you know the truth about Sesame Street!
The Witch Files derives from the hugely successful Blair Witch Project, and is worth some real chuckles.

Mystic Sun Studios is the homepage of Azar (it means "fiery one"), a friend and my dance teacher for nearly two years.
Artemis' Home Page is a very basic, friendly webpage for a very nice, friendly couple--Kelly and Rolli. They live in San Francisco with their snakes.
Vampyre Dreams was put together by my dear friend Morella, who knows more about Edgar Allan Poe than I could ever hope to.
The IndieChica Domain was built/is being built by my friend, actress Joanne Chew.
Mental Bloc Party is a band that includes a talented lady by the name of Sari Morninghawk.
West Coast Business Academy, based in San Francisco, has lots of information about Tom Marcoux--actor, writer, director, lecturer, etc.
Gregory Strang is a realtor I got to know while temping in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was the agent (out of fifty) I chose to sell my mother's house. Check out his website and you'll see some of the reasons why (here's a hint--he's the "Rock-N-Roll Realtor").
