INTERVIEW TIPS

Here are some typical questions which might be asked on job interviews. Try practicing with someone, perhaps a friend, relative, or business associate. It is always helpful that you are prepared for these, or similar type questions. Moreover, even if they are not asked, the practice only makes you better. You will certainly learn from the experience. There are no correct answers, however there are such things as bad answers. It is best sometimes to write your answers out so you can think about what you are going to say.

A good point to remember: before answering a question, try to ascertain first what kind of question it is. The first question, if asked by a human resource professional, might indicate they are looking for motivation, or a timetable for your own career agenda. The response you may give may differ from what you could say to a manager trying to fill a position which is not promotable.

This first question is categorized as an agenda question, and has a very strong effect on the outcome of the interview. Good luck, and try to remember: no matter how well you answer these questions, you must always do your research on the company you are interviewing at. All interviewers expect you to do this, especially in the field of information services.
