Technology consulting firms Thaumaturgix Inc. and Brainlink International are teaming up this Thursday, Oct. 18th, to help raise money for the families of firefighters, police officers and other law enforcement employees who perished in the WTC attacks.

Dubbed "NY Tech Support: Networking for the Uncommon Good", the event is to benefit the Silver Shield Foundation (http://www.silvershieldfoundation.org), the fund established in 1982 to aid the educational expenses of children and spouses of firefighters and police officers lost in the line of duty.

Tickets are $75 in advance and $100 at the door for a networking event that will bring computer and technology professionals to the rooftop of Thaumaturgix's for networking, hors d'oeuvres, and cocktails.

Organizers say additional contributions are also welcome; all of the proceeds go to the Silver Shield Foundation.
