    Brainlink is an IT services firm with clients across the Tri-State area.  We currently have five individuals on staff and are based out of Queens, NY.  Most of our clients are Small Businesses with mixed Windows/Linux environments.
 
Attitude
    Our firm demands high levels of integrity, dedication, and personal growth from our interns.  The intern’s responsibilities will include in-house projects as well as supporting clients.  We pride ourselves on good customer service and ask that all interns are well spoken and good communicators.
 
Location
    Most of our work is in Manhattan.  We are looking for interns within 45 minutes of Manhattan via subway or commuter rail.  Although, we will happily consider those that are farther out if they meet our other requirements especially well.
 
Experience
    We are looking for competency in Linux and Windows system administration.  Software and operating systems used include:
·        Linux – Ubuntu, Knoppix, Debian
·        Windows – Windows 2000, XP, Server 2003 System,
·        Unix – Solaris
·        Web – Apache
·        FTP – Proftpd
·        Database – MySQL, Oracle
·        Mail – Communigate, Exchange
 
    Attitude is the most important factor we consider.  The amount of experience is flexible, although a basic competency in Linux or Windows administration is required.
